Ukraine Unveils New Gyurza Armored Vehicle at IDEX 2025 for Defense and Export
At the IDEX 2025 defense exhibition in Abu Dhabi, Ukrainian manufacturer UKR ARMO TECH unveiled the GYURZA-O2, a new armored vehicle designed for modern combat scenarios. This vehicle is an evolution of the earlier GYURZA-1 model, incorporating feedback from its deployment to enhance performance and protection. During the exhibition, UkrArmoTech attracted interest from foreign buyers, with some even offering to sign contracts and sell the vehicles right after the event. However, the company’s main priority is to establish production in Ukraine and focus on supplying armored vehicles to the Ukrainian army and defense units. Only after meeting domestic needs, they will explore export opportunities.

The GYURZA-O2 is built on a specialized chassis, a next-generation armored vehicle designed for modern combat. It is built on a specialized chassis and offers protection at NATO STANAG 4569 Levels 2 and 3. The vehicle withstands 7.62×39mm and 7.62×54mm armor-piercing rounds, 155mm artillery blasts at 80 meters, and anti-tank mine explosions with up to 8kg of TNT under its V-shaped hull. The GYURZA-O2 runs on a six-cylinder Cummins diesel engine with electronic control, automatic transmission, and reinforced suspension. It performs reliably in urban, off-road, and extreme climates, operating between -40°C to +50°C. With a 600 km range and a top speed of 110 km/h, it ensures high mobility in combat zones.
To counter the growing drone threat, the GYURZA-O2 is equipped with a modern electronic warfare (EW) system operating across 150-1030 MHz frequencies, protecting against FPV drones and guided attacks. Additionally, it can be fitted with the FlyOff threat detection system, which monitors, detects, and localizes enemy drone signals in real time, allowing the crew to deploy countermeasures before an attack occurs. Built on a special military suspension, the GYURZA-O2 supports a larger payload while offering enhanced mine and anti-tank protection. It can transport 10 paratroopers plus a driver, making it ideal for Special Operations Forces, the Armed Forces, and other military units. With cutting-edge armor, mobility, and electronic defense, the GYURZA-O2 sets a new standard for battlefield protection, reinforcing Ukraine’s role in modern military innovation.
