Anduril Secures $642M Deal to Deliver AI-Driven Counter-Drone Defense for US Marine Corps

Anduril Industries has secured a $642 million, 10-year contract to supply AI-powered Counter-Unmanned Aerial System (C-UAS) technology to protect U.S. Marine Corps bases worldwide. This Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Program of Record will support the Installations-Counter small Unmanned Aircraft System (I-CsUAS) initiative. Anduril’s cutting-edge technology will enhance base security and defense capabilities, ensuring effective protection against evolving drone threats. The contract encompasses system procurement, site surveys, program management, engineering services, configuration audits, and new equipment training, with completion expected by March 2035. The announcement did not specify the model or quantity of systems to be delivered. However, the Marine Corps is looking for a solution that can both destroy and disrupt drone threats, ensuring stronger defense against aerial attacks.

Anduril stated, “this program validates our C-UAS advantage, enabling 24/7 autonomous operations powered by Lattice, our advanced software platform”. Anduril’s Counter-Unmanned Aerial System (C-UAS) technology uses artificial intelligence (AI) with advanced sensors and effectors to automatically detect, track, identify, and neutralize drone threats. This smart system improves situational awareness and decision-making, reducing the need for constant human monitoring while enhancing base security and defense. Anduril’s C-UAS solution is built on an open architecture framework, allowing seamless integration of multiple sensors and defense systems. The system is easy to manage and can be rapidly upgraded throughout the contract with an intuitive command and control (C2) interface. This modular design ensures Marine Corps bases stay protected with the latest cutting-edge security technology.

Anduril’s new $642 million IDIQ contract strengthens its partnership with the U.S. Marine Corps, following a $200 million contract in November 2024 to develop a C-UAS system for the Marine Air Defense Integrated System (MADIS). As demand for advanced counter-drone technology grows, Anduril has invested in Arsenal-1, a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility designed to scale the production of autonomous defense systems. Arsenal-1 allows for rapid deployment of anti-drone solutions while ensuring flexibility to meet future defense needs. This $642M deal strengthens U.S. national security by providing the Marine Corps with AI-powered counter-drone technology, ensuring 24/7 protection against evolving aerial threats and reducing reliance on manual defense systems.
